A fabulous antique Edwardian Suffragette bracelet made up of pretty Gold links adorned with violet Amethyst, green Peridot and white Pearls.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The piece is held together by a lovely heart padlock which is complete with makers initials J. G and S and hallmarks which date the piece as Birmingham 1903.
The bracelet is all Yellow Gold and stamped 9ct on the clasp and padlock. A wonderful Suffragette bracelet that looks beautiful around the wrist.
